welcome to my slice of cyberspace where I post things related to the Kindred Sol project - a musical project that explores the worlds within our own and parallel to ours.

Below is a pleasant hour of ambient sounds to wash over you. Great for local drives or watering the garden or watching clouds or cooking or playing with your baby. 

​A couple of these were written specifically with the idea of growing plants (yes, apparently some styles of music can encourage them to grow!). Others were written as background music for a podcast. Another came about through playing with a delay pedal and another was written around the theme of insomnia, taking inspiration (and recordings) from the sea around Mljet, Croatia. Some were written in 2018 in Berlin, others in 2020 in Sant’Anna Morosina. There’s a bit of a lo-fi quality to some of them as they were written in a temporary studio space (2020).

These were created in 2010-2012. I've played them out for years in my DJ sets and they always seemed to be enjoyed by others. So now they're out and about on all the streaming platforms and even more relevantly, out on Bandcamp (below).

Let me introduce the Outdoors EP - an EP dedicated to the fun times outdoors that I’ve been missing (maybe you too?). A bit of nostalgia thrown in, interrupted by something up above… some morning wibbly wobbling… and finally some unusual birdsong, somewhere between Berlin and Port Macquarie (that narrows it down to about half the world!).

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it:) play it at a decent volume, on a decent system - that’d be my advice:)

the next release is not far off, and perhaps a little more accessible. x
