Ambienterlude

hello cyberspace!

wow, it’s been a while… so many 1s and 0s have switched on and off during that time…

apologies… the writing/mixing/mastering process takes quite some time when you’re flying solo. but things are happening (!) and things are being learned. and im gradually solving the live-set puzzle… so it’s all coming together, slowly.

in the meantime, here’s an ambient piece based around the sea. It was written as a cure for insomnia, so it's a slow and sleepy piece - and it came out quite melancholic, as I think the 'merfolk' would not be so happy about the state of the world's oceans and seas...

hello to a small place in cyberspace:)

here’s something i’ve been working on lately that i’m really enjoying. so maybe you’ll enjoy it too? or not…
it’s been a while between updates. things have been humming along, but no specific milestone has been reached. so in terms of keeping curious-beings updated, i’ve been a little quiet. but things are happening, all the time.

life has been throwing curveballs… and i’ve been doing my best at catching them (though i never really excelled at ball sports… )… some challenging things have come up.. and will possibly resurface again in the future at some unknown time… and in the meantime, it seems the world is headed on a collision course with the 4 headless-chickens-of-the-apocalypse… so strap yourselves in, regardless of what happens, we’re in for a ride.

and below, for moments when you feel like seeing distant clouds (on the horizon, in your mind's eye - wherever they may occur)... you can decide what kind of cloud. or maybe you'll decide it's something else altogether.

recently i took a short trip to the forests in the south-west of Germany with a close friend. we did plenty of jamming and recording in these days. below is some of that recording… this is the tail end of a reverberant clap in the forest, and following is the sound fleshed out into a bouncy melodic rhythm. an example of how sound can be morphed into something completely different;

last week i wrote a song for a friend. it's fuzzy... and also quite hectic. it all came about in a very linear, start-to-finish kind of way, which is not how i usually work. then again, the method often changes from one track to the next.
